April 10, 1958 - May 27, 2015
After nearly a 5 year battle, Gary succumbed on May 27, 2015, to Ependymoma.
Gary graduated from St. Alphonsus High school in 1976, and Michigan State University in 1980 where he was a proud Brother of The Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He went on to receive his M.B.A from Texas Tech University.
Gary is survived his mother, Elaine Collings of Canton, brother Richard of Allen Park, sister Carol (James) Staab of Nebraska, his Cousin Bob Machnee of Canton, his nephews Jonah and Jeremiah of Kearney and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary's request to his family was that upon his death he was to be cremated and
have his ashes spread behind the DELT SIG SPARTAN CHAPTER HOUSE,
off the deck and along the Red Cedar River.
PLEASE JOIN GARY's FAMILY and FELLOW DELT SIG SPARTAN ALUMNI as we honor Gary and celebrate his life through the Delta Sigma Phi BOND ETERNAL CEREMONY on Sunday, October 25th, 2015 @ 11:00 AM.
Delta Sigma Phi obviously meant a lot to Gary. Let's show our love and appreciation for his Brotherhood by honoring him through this prestigeous event.
